Cherry Blossom Season in Taiwan [Tianyuan Temple (天元宮) backyard]

Cherry blossom viewing before the first cold spell of winter arrives in Taiwan. If you want to see these flowers then hurry up because they are already in full bloom!

How to get here: Board the Taipei MRT and get off at Tamsui Station. Transfer to either Bus 866, 875, 876, 877 or F103 and alight at Tianyuan Temple (天元宮) stop. The flowers are located behind the temple. Japanese cherry blossom trees also surround Tianyuan Palace but they are expected to bloom in March.

It's a long line of people for Bus 875.

Bus 875 was full of passengers as it arrives in Tianyuan Temple stop.

It was a cloudy day with the cold winter wind blowing.

I passed by the temple and went to the area near the mountains.

Cherry blossoms!

There were many people on the day of my visit.

Beautiful!

I also went near to these sakura trees.

There were photographers who brought their own props like this Puli doll.

I will be returning in March when the yoshino and showa varieties appear in the temple.
