Cherry Blossom Season in Taiwan [Broadwood Park (樂活公園)]

How to get here: Board the Taipei MRT and alight at Donghu Station.  Go to Exit 3 and follow the elevated railroad tracks of the Brown Line towards Huzhou Station.  Turn right at Donghu Road and walk for 600 meters until you reach Broadwood Park.

Status of flowering: Some of the trees were already in full bloom. There were also trees that have opened half of its flower buds.  Expect this beauty to last in less than two weeks.

I really love seeing cherry blossoms especially when the sky is clear.

I went on a Friday afternoon and there were few people.  If you want to go on a weekend then expect a big crowd.

Broadwood Park is located in Neihu District and the sakura trees were planted along the banks of a river.

Yeah!

a cluster of sakura flowers

Some of the buds were just about to open ...

but the bees were already busy.

Notice the leaf beside the cherry blossoms.  It means that the "full bloom" status has been reached for this tree.

The color of the sakuras in Broadwood Park range from white to pink to a more darker shade of pink.

A bee again!
