Cherry Blossom Season in Taiwan - 2017 Sakura Series [Travel in Taiwan 170320: Around Yangming Park (陽明公園) - cherry stream area (櫻花溪流區)]



Type of cherry blossom: Shōwa sakura (昭和櫻)

Location: Yangmingshan Park cherry stream area

How to get here: Board the Taipei MRT and alight at Taipei Main Station. Go to Exit M1 or to Taipei City Mall Exit Y6 and transfer to Bus 260. You will need to swipe your EasyCard twice. The first one upon entering the bus and the second scan before alighting the vehicle. The final stop of Bus 260 is at Yangmingshan Bus Terminal and tourists will have to transfer to a chartered bus to get to the Yangmingshan Park.

Status of flowering: 90% of the flower buds have opened.

But there were still visitors who were eager to see cherry blossoms for the first time in their life.

The sakuras here were of the showa type.

I really hate the rain during the cherry blossom festival. It makes the flowers look spoiled.

The showa sakuras were still beautiful amidst the rain and fog in Yangmingshan.
